BIRMINGHAM TOPS MAST RENT LEAGUE 07-12-2006 Birmingham City Council earns more rent from mobile phone masts than any other local authority in the country. Its annual income is £590,000 - more than Wolverhampton, Sandwell, Dudley and Coventry put together. The news is sure to anger campaigners who believe that masts causecancer clusters - although no formal link has ever been established.
