TB JABS PETITION HITS 2,000 25-06-2006 More than 2,000 signatures have now been received by campaigners hoping to get a free TB jab introduced for every child in Britain. An online petition - previously featured by The Stirrer - will be presented to the government shortly. Mavis Hughes from Wednesbury in the Black Country who started the campaign said: “We always wanted at least 2,000 parents to sign up to prove there was a real demand.” “We've achieved that in double-quick time so the battle goes forward.” TB cases are at a high 20 year high but mass innoculation was withdrawn last July - coincidentally on the same day as the London bombings More details as we get them at The Stirrer.
