LIBRARY MEETING BOOKED FOR TONIGHT

Stirrer readers are invited to a public meeting tonight to discuss the future of Birmingham Central Library. The city council is considering plans to replace it with a new building next to Baskerville House in Centenary Square.

The architect of the current library John Madin will be there along with Gary Taylor from Argent who are currently redeveloping Paradise Circus.

The meeting is at 7.30 at the Birmingham and Midland Institute in Margaret Street all welcome. Stirrer editor Adrian Goldberg will be in the chair.
