BRUM COUNCIL TO APPEAL “RACISM” VERDICT 29-03-2007 Birmingham City Council is appealing against an Employment Tribunal verdict which declared that it was guilty of racial discrimination against one of its workers. The judgement was handed down in early February in a case brought by Paul Samuels, a legal executive with the local authority who wassacked in October 2005. Samuels had also been unfairly dismissed and victimised according to the Tribunal. Now the Council is hoping to have the judgement over-turned on all three counts.
