MORE RED ROUTE PROTESTS PROMISED

Traders who clogged up Birmingham's busy A34 in Sparkill today are promising more protests against the imposition of a traffic busting Red Route.

Members of theStratford Road Business Association were prevented by the police from stagingtheir intended"go-slow" in the morning rush hour, but their cavalcade of cars still added to the congestion as they travelled twice to the Camp Hill island and back again.

Spokesman Abdul Vanat told The Stirrer: “We will continue to protest to safeguard our livelihoods. We have put all our lives and our resources into our businesses.”
