BIDDING WAR FOR MOVIE PREMIERE 31-07-2006 Film fans and football supporters have joined in a frenzied bidding war to host a unique "domestic premiere" of a new movie - "Manchester Disunited And Other Football Feuds". The documentary - made by TheStirrer editor Adrian Goldberg - will be seen publicly for the first time at Birmingham's MAC cinema on Friday August 18, the night before the new Premier League season. But it will also be shown 24 hours earlier at the home of the the winner of an e-bay auction that currently stands in excess of £56. Phew - if the action gets any hotter, Adrian's in danger of covering his petrol money! He said: "I'm just terried that the community of Lerwick in the Shetland Islands will club together to have the screening there. "I've nothing against the Shetlands, mind. It's a very nice place. But I reckon I'd need to pull in a bid of at least £500 to cover my costs of getting there."
