I have a notion

there's no justice

in backing insane campaigns

radiation all around us

all above us only rain

I have a notion

soaps guide morality

a flat-line statistical status

recording the fat-dog bland culture

of self-congratulated celebrity hiatus

Beckham's lit up his galaxy

another star parading along

Hollywood's famous halls

his rewards are astronomical

forever golden are his balls

I have a notion

Big Brother's observing

from the corner of my room

while people in the world are dying

from rocket attack high noons

I have a notion

that we're grid-locked

not just in traffic queues

have you ever felt this feeling

watching twenty-four hour global news?

I have a notion

that we could change things

if we really wanted to

but selfishness takes our thoughts away

from the things we need to do
