SANDWELL ROUTES FOR BLIND DAVE ON VICTORY PARADE

15-04-2008

Blind Dave welcome

Sandwell Council has confirmed the victory route for Black Country running heroes Blind Dave Heeley and Mad Mac when they return to West Bromwich tomorrow.  Exclusive footage of the climax of their 777 marathon challenge can be seen right here on Stirrer TV.

Dave and Mac will be greeted by Sandwell Mayor Gurcharan Singh Sidhu and – no doubt - a crowd of cheering supporters at Sandwell & Dudley railway station at 2pm tomorrow (Wednesday 16 April).

They ran a total distance of 183.4 miles, or 250,000 steps, in approximately 168 hours – so to take the weight off their legs, an open top tour bus is being laid on.

It will head back, via West Bromwich town centre, to Dave's home in Oak Road, where neighbours are laying on a homecoming party.

Then get out the flags and bunting, and turn out to line the route for their triumphant homecoming.
