In these eco-conscious times, The Stirrer is delighted to let you know where you can get two free energy saving light-bulbs - 10,000 are being given away in Birmingham over the next five days.

In an initiative being backed by the City Council and Birmingham Stretegic partnership, the giveaway is taking place in some of the city's most deprived neigbourhoods - although there will also be a chance to claim your free bulbs at the City Shapers event in Victoria Square, when you can also have your say on Brum's future.

Here's the full list of giveaway locations.

Monday 26th

10am-4.30pm Kingstanding - Kingstanding shopping area

Tuesday 27th

10am-1pm Lozells - Lozells Road(near Pak Supermarket)

2pm-4.30pm Handsworth -corner of Soho Road/Holly Road

Wednesday 28th

Thursday 1st
