Callum's Blues Blog FEELING BAD ABOUT GOODISON 05-11-2007 You had to feel for Blues on Saturday - well, unless you're a Villa fan. They matched Everton for 90 minutes at Goodison, but as Callum O' Connell laments, they still came away empty handed, thanks to two injury time goals. A cruel loss away at Everton denies the Blues a point. No one really expected anything different, as we haven't won at Goodison park in 50years - a stretch that's set to continue. Another goal from Kapo shows that Bruce has brought a quality player at a knock down price, but Blues wont be able to rely on him alone throughout the season so a striker is needed in the January transfer window. Off the field this week a lot has happened, and its not all good. The kidnapping of William Palacios' brother made news and his safe returned is hoped for by all concerned. Good news in the Blues camp this week is the fact on Monday 29th of October Yeung moved to calm Bruce's fears Yeung told the Daily Mirror: "I have a lot of faith in Steve and I will give him my full support." So it seems that bruce should be staying for the foreseeable future. Although there is no news of transfer budget for January I think every blues fan hopes it will be a big budget to spend on high quality players especially - that clinical finisher we so desperately need.
