There's also a tie-up with Manchester's Halle in January and February, with the two orchestras combing to present all six of Nielsen’s Symphonies. The complete cycle will be performed in both Manchester and Birmingham with Mark Elder conducting the Hallé in two of the Birmingham concerts and the CBSO making the trip northward to return the compliment.
