Get Out More................................Cricket Tickets ENGLAND v SOUTH AFRICA/NEW ZEALAND 30-11-2007
Here’s an early warning for you...tickets for next summer’s Edgbaston Test Match and one-day international go on sale next Monday, December 3. The five-dayer against South Africa starts on July 30 and promises to be a great occasion; after Australia, the Proteas are probably the best Test-playing nation on earth – a title which England currently aspire too. Since snatching the Ashes in 2005, Michael Vaughan’s team have, to say the least, been disappointing – but when the likes of Flintoff, Pieterson and Panesar are on song, our lad shave the potential to be one of the most entertaining teams around. They’ll line up against a side boasting some hard-hitting batsmen, notably Herschelle Gibbs and Jacques Kallis, as well as former Warwickshire all-rounder Shaun Pollock. In Ntini and Nel, they have decent bowlers too. At £55 and upwards tickets aren’t cheap, but after missing out on Test action last year, we’re sure West Midlands cricket fans will pack out the ground. Just before that, on July 18, it’s New Zealand in the one day international – the Kiwis are currently battling it out with South Africa to determine who can be ranked “next best to the Aussies” in the 50 over version of the game.
