About David Nicholl
Dr David Nicholl, is a consultant neurologist and honorary senior lecturer at City Hospital Hospital & Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham and the University of Birmingham, England.
Hespent the first 18 yearsof his lifein Belfast, Northern Ireland andthe latter 20+ yearsin Brum.He has been active as a human rights activist on Guantanamo as a supporter of Amnesty International, Reprieveand the Medical Foundation for Care of Victims of Torture.
His research interests are in Parkinson's disease and the genetics of neurodegenerative diseases. He enjoys teaching, running and a healthy debate- sometimes he likes to combine all of the above with intriguing results.
