EDWARD SCISSORHANDS TICKETS NOW ON SALE

27-03-2008

Edward Scissorhands

Tickets for Matthew Bourne’s modern dance re-interpretation of the gothic fairy tale Edward Scissorhands go on sale today. And with Bourne’s “Nutcracker” already wowing audiences at the Hippodrome, demand is bound to be high.

Scissorhands – played in Tim Burton's marvellous movie by Johnny Depp – tells the story of a boy created by a lonely inventor who dies leaving him alone and unfinished.

Left with only scissors for hands, Edward struggles to find his place in a strange new suburban world where the well meaning community struggle to see past his strange appearance to the innocence and gentleness within.

Produced by Bourne’s New Adventures company, the show returns to the Hippo after a world tour that included sell-out shows in New York, LA, San Francisco, Syndey, Melbourne and Paris.

It runs from Tues 11-Sat 15 November – tickets from www.birminghamhippodrome.com
