The Stirrer is delighted to announce that we've become the official web partner of one of Birmingham's most acclaimed festivals - Gigbeth. We'll be counting down with a day by day preview of some of the highlights.

Gigbeth was created as a result of the desire by the Learning And Skills Council to promote music careers in the region; that's why as well as showcasing emerging local talent there are seminars, conferences and discussions.

The original event was in March 2006, but the follow-up this year has been shifted to November 1-3 to coincide with the Music Live exhibition at the NEC.

According to the Daily Telegraph, this is one of the best music festivals of 2007.
