The Spiderwick Chronicles

Birmingham’s St Mary’s Hospice is hosting a charity regional premiere of one of the most successful US family films of recent months – The Spiderwick Chronicles.

The film is not due for public release until 21 March so this will give you bragging rights for a week or so – and the knowledge that you’ll be contributing to a very good cause.

The film tells the tale of the Graces, a family who must adapt to their new strange surroundings. As the story begins, twin brothers Jared and Simon, along with their sister Mallory and their mother move away from the big city to a mansion owned by their uncle.

When a series of strange happenings suggest that Jared may be causing a number of disturbances, the siblings band together to figure out what is going on. Soon they discover the magical history of the property (click here for the official movie website (http://www.paramount.com/paramount.php)

Tickets are £7 or £4 for children 14 and under – and though St Mary’s are being coy about the location, a quick call to Gavin or Yvonne on 0121 472 1191 will soon see you put right.
