Get Out More……………………………Cricket News 20/20 FINAL (Edgbaston, August 4) 27-07-2007 If you want something to look forward to amid the miserable weather, The Stirrer can reveal that a few tickets have just come onto the market for one of the biggest cricket occasions of the year - and it's at Edgbaston. The 20/20 Finals day on Saturday week (which features both semis as well as the Final itself) has rapidly become established as one of the highlights of the sporting calendar. Now that demand from the four competing teams has been met, the last remainingtickets have gone on general sale. Sadly, neither Warwickshire nor Worcestershire will be in action but there will be plenty of crash, bang, wallop from Kent, Surrey, Lancashire and Gloucestershire. Tickets are £56 from 0870 062 1902. Meanwhile collectors of cricketing curiosities will also be heading to Edgbaston on Sunday, to see Worcestershire use the County Ground as their home turf. With New Road ruled out for the rest of the season because of flooding, the ECB have given special dispensation for the Pears (and other counties) to use neutral grounds. The good news is that Bears members get in free. |
