7” LISTINGS

30-06-2007

Our old pals at Birmingham’s 7” Cinema have got a new home for their indie/DIY movie screenings, and no end of other tasty recommendations to keep you out of mischief over the summer including a DJ session in Kings Heath from Dexy's legend Kevin Rowlands. Here's what's really on.

Firstly, 7inch news

7INCH FILM SPACE at SUPERSONIC

For the fifth year running we are showing fillums at Capsule¹s annual hoe-down, this time in the Custard Factory theatre.

Hide in the dark from all those noisy bands with delights including the UK premiere of a new doc about the pioneering Electronic Music Studios, a mini-retrospective for Brighton-based car-boot connoisseur Ian Helliwell and a wealth of unseen live footage from the Southern Records vaults.

Elsewhere in the festival you can find Mogwai, Sunn 0))), Om, Kling Klang, Pharoah Overlord and Big Fun (maybe).
