Gordon Brown has announced this morning that a 40% pay rise for prisoners is being frozen - but when you hear about conditions "inside" it can make you wonder whether it's worth working for a living. In case you're uncertain, here's The Stirrer's guide to Jail versus Work.

You must pay all your expenses to go to work, and they deduct taxes from your salary to pay for prisoners
