THE KINGS HEAD, HARBORNE

30-04-2008

Tara Chinn

Here’s a welcome addition to the local gig scene…the revamped Kings Head on the Hagley Road in Harborne. Eclectic is the word.

Highlights include A.F.R.O.TATION, an urban soul/drum and bass collective (Saturday 3rd May), and vocalist/guitarist Kate Finch. Kate, also lead vocalist in local band StRANGEtIME, performs accoustic tracks with an angst ridden edge (Thursday 15th May).

Nu-jazzers will fancy a session with keyboarder Andre Bassing who has performed with international stars such as American vocalist Julie Dexter, Indian tabla player Savar Sabri, Slovenian vocalist Andrej Sifrer and renowned MOBO award winner Soweto Kinch (Saturday 17th May).

Local singer songwriter Tara Chinn who’s building a solid reputation is the attraction on Friday Friday 23rd May.
