NEWMARKET JULY MEETING

The Stirrer’s resident racing pundit Paul Gebhard – fresh from a double success at the Cheltenham Festival – tells us he’s “very, very confident” about this weekend’s Newmarket meeting, which features the first two classics of the Flat racing season.

On Saturday in the 2,000 Guineas at 3.25, he goes for NEW APPROACH at 7/4.

That’s followed by the 1,000 Guineas on Sunday at 3.20 he tips INFALLIBLE (oh yeah?) available at 4/1.

Gebbys comment: “Both of these horses appear to me to tick all the right boxes - already shown high class form, will be racing on suitable going conditions, will be racing over their ideal trip at this stage of their careers, both are unbeaten.

“I’m going to back them in a double, at the above odds when (not if!) both win you get back £13.75 for every £1 staked (i.e. the double pays 12.75 to 1)”.
