Yeah that was a bit harsh, was having a bad day so I will rephrase.
Taking things back so quickly, you are obviously not a politician!
But your point about 20 grand re-wallpapering and even 30% of council tax in pensions, I don't think Malloney's the culprit there. I don't get the impression he's in it for the money, and he could probably have made a lot more money elsewhere. He also seems to work about as hard for whatever money he gets as any councillor, and much much harder than many. Granted, with that, you get to see more of the irritating git.
And I come back to my point about if you want him elected out, who do you vote for instead? I used to follow the Spotted Dog thread, but gave up about page 28, so I'm not up to date with the details. But if you leafletted every house in his constituency saying 'Malloney's against late night noise', his vote would go up. If instead you said he doesn't give a damn about planning enforcement, I think a lot of people would think that you've got it wrong there too, with his high-profiled (by Labour) splat over the tram offices.
On my reading it does seem likely that the Spotted Dog has been shafted over the Abacus scheme, but aiming all your abuse at Malloney just because he's got the guts (or insensitivity) to come and talk about it to you, is shooting the messenger. Say if one of his rivals could be parachuted into whatever job Malloney has involving the Spotted Dog, would they really deliver what you want? Would his vice-chairman go your way?

How can we get rid of that self important nincompoop Mullaney."
It comes with the territory, but you could have a lot worse.
