PUNAM’S DONE OK FOR A GIRL FROM WALSALL

Former BBC WM travel reporter Punam Verman has hit the big time following her bold move to Dubai a couple of years ago.  She’s now presenting her own telly show, and is featured on the front cover of the local edition of OK magazine.  Not bad for a girl from Walsall.

Punam was always a joy to work with on during The Stirrer’s stint as breakfast show host on WM, and it’s fantastic to see her doing so well.

After a frustrating time trying to break through in the media locally, she took a “flyer” and accepted a job offer in the Middle East.

Risky, yes – but it’s certainly paid off. 

She’s now the face of Out And About, a travel show on Dubai One, based in the major city of the United Arab Emirates.

The OK cover has her in the enviable position of being sandwiched between Beyonce and Kate Moss – nice!
