SPREAD THE GOOD NEWS 21-12-2007 Ah yes, it's Christmas. In which it's claimed that the forces of multiculturalism are scaring off Christians from enjoying their traditional festivities. "Bah, humbug" says Richard Nevin. Good news has reached me that the god fearing christians of this land have not been deterred from celebrating the birth of Christ by these PC do-gooders, and will be packing out shopping centres until midnight all week. Spending money gained from selling stolen lead that once kept the vicar dry. The vicar that will hold midnight mass in the early evening due to anti social behaviour at midnight in the past. In the church that has an ever dwindling congregation. A congregation from a country that purports to be Christian yet much of it's inhabitants struggle to name a Christmas carol. The singing of which is now used as an excuse for poorly educated children to bribe householders into handing over money. Money that was once destined for the plate in the church, to be spent on new lead to keep the vicar dry. In the church where the call to worship is greeted as noise yet the ringing of tills in the new churches is greeted with glee. A glee that manifests itself in increased crime and over subscribed accident and emergency units. Where verbal abuse takes the place of festive greetings. The result of greedy over consumption in the hostelries. Where the coming of Christ means raising the price. So up it goes, like the price of lead. That keeps the vicar dry in the half empty church. It will indeed be a sad day when multi-culturalism ends our proud Christmas traditions. Merry Christmas everyone. See also Mick Temple's "Happy Heathen Xmas" see link here |
