PARENTS DIED - SO BLACK COUNTRY WOMAN EVICTED

20-02-2008

A Sandwell woman faces eviction from the home she’s lived in all her life – because her parents have died.

The 47-year old woman, whose identity isn’t being revealed, has lived at the family home at Kent Street in Wednesbury since she was 10 months old, but has now been ordered to leave.

She lost her father several years ago, and now that her mum has passed away as well, she’s fallen foul of the Council’s rules of succession.

One friend said, “she’s lived there all her life.  Where’s the compassion?"

The woman faces a showdown meeting with Sandwell Homes today.

We’ll have more details later.
