TORY COUNCILLOR’S WIFE SLAMS “ANTI CHRIST” VOYAGER 26-05-2008 Senior figures on Birmingham Council have joined a Facebook Group slating the city’s controversial Voyager scheme. One contributor describes it as the “new anti Christ of payments and accounting schemes.” The site has been set up by Keeley Rogers, wife of Conservative Bournville councillor Tim Huxtable – who is one of three people who’ve signed up as members. Rogers, who works for the local authority’s European team, recalls with affection the old Glamis system, now replaced by Voyager. She writes: “I admit it, I used to moan about Glamis, it was hard to navigate and I could never print from it. "But they say you don't know what you have got till its gone. Introducing 'Voyager'... the new anti christ of payments and accounting systems. "This is a support group for all you out there from Birmingham City Council whose lives have been made a living hell since the introduction of Voyager. "Please just raise an invoice for me or make a payment, non [sic] of this vendor set up rubbish. It's really not that hard. "Come back Glamis, all is forgiven". As well her husband’s support, Rogers has also signed up Kelly Wu, a member of the city’s international team appointed directly by Council leader Mike Whitby, and who represents him on Chinese missions.
