WOLVES COUNCILLORS IN ALLEGED BROTHEL SHOCK

As The Stirrer message boarder’s have already been revealing, the Sunday Mirror is alleging that prominent Wolverhampton Tory Councillors, David and Carol Bourne have been supplementing their civic duties by selling themselves for sex from their own home.

On behalf of the Stirrer, I've rung the Bourne's home to give them an opportunity to refute the allegations. But it's only an answer machine replying.

At present this story is being regarded by the Stirrer as allegations by one newspaper.

But I'm personally very alarmed and shocked, to say the least, that this article seems to be based on very strong, on-the-spot, undercover-reporter evidence.

We, naturally, will await the outcome of any enquiry by Wolves Council, Wolves Tory Party (and the Police no doubt) to ascertain the validity of the Mirror's claims. But these enquiries must be urgently undertaken.

In the meantime, it seems vital that both Councillors are suspended from all civic and elected duties and from governorship of local schools.

Considering the duties of Councillor David Bourne these indicate that it would be of grave concern to parents of Wolverhampton schoolchildren if these allegations were to prove well founded.

Particularly Children and Young Persons Governance and Information Services roles.

David is also on the Health and Well Being Partnership Committee it seems – not a linked role to the alleged ones I suppose?

One little soft voice tells me that until the Bourne's or the Local Tory Party give a response to the Mirror allegations perhaps we should give the couple the benefit of the doubt. This voice tells me that it’s a wet Sunday afternoon after all and the local Party and Council's wheels won't stir into motion until tomorrow.

Yet another voice asks me is this Wolves version of the Bourne Conspiracy? The games version of the Bourne Identity film series – though David is no Mat Damon.

And yet, another, more serious, voice is shouting shock, outrage and serious concern that such folk could be representing their City in vital and trusted elected roles. If the story is true, of course, which is not known until we’ve heard the Bourne’s full and candid side of the story.

I've checked both of their websites and seen their profiles and pics – not my Kipper of Tay I’m afraid even for tuppence. And even though I'm a Wolves supporter. But everybody to their own taste.

Seriously though -- these are devastating allegations to the reputation of Wolverhampton City and it's safe and secure Governance. And I hope they prove unfounded for the Bourne’s sakes, and for the reputation of the City.

The Stirrer, for one, will give the Bourne’s every opportunity to refute the allegations and to clear their names.

These allegations need dealing with first thing tomorrow morning and the Stirrer will be on the case to get to the bottom of this horrifying story until the facts are fully revealed.

If these allegations are true - then the Bourne’s should be thrown out of the Wolverhampton Conservative Party and sacked from office and any school Governorships, or any other trusted role within the City of Wolverhampton.
